Happy Birthday, Rhett! May 11, 2009

Happy 3rd Birthday, Rhett!

My Baby Boy turns 3 years old today. This was his hospital photo. It is hard to believe that 3 years ago today I was in the hospital, in labor, getting ready to have Rhett. Overall things went really smooth and there were no problems at all. However I will never forget the way he sounded. Most babies have a wail or scream when they are first born. It sounded like I had given birth to a hawk or some kind of wild animal, he made this terrible screeching sound. I do remember thinking what have I just given birth to? The next day they took him to be circumcised and they told me he would not be back for several hours so not to worry. Within 30 minutes I could hear the screeching coming down the hallway, I knew that was my baby. The nurse pushing his bed looked frustrated. She said, "we can not do anything with him, so we brought him back to you to see if you can do anything with him." Lucky for me he did calm down right away. I have to say overall he really was a good baby. And now he has grown into my little mess maker. If he is not making a mess than he is asleep!

Happy Mother's Day! May 10, 2009

My Children

My children are very beautiful, Both of them have a great big heart. They both are growing up each and every day, In their own unique and special way. Both of my children are filled with joy, I love them dearly both my girl and boy.I love my children more than words could ever say, I am very grateful that they are with me each and every day. They mean more to me than anyone will ever know. Everyday brings a brand new start, After all my children are my heart. I thank God for them each and every day, That he
sent two beautiful children my way.

Fun Photos for the Week!

Here are few photos from the week!

Rhett on his 4-wheeler wearing a hat his Nana and Papa gave him 2 Christmases ago. If he had worn it then it would have fit-- however for some reason he has taken a liking to it now and it is too small. He wears it everywhere- around the house, out to ride the 4-wheeler, Bi-lo, Walmart, etc.
See what I mean-- here he is headed to church Mother's Day Sunday-- we are wearing the hat!

Here is Rhett with a guitar he found at my sister's house. He loved it.

First Official 5K Practice

Today my 2 sisters, 2 nephews, daughter and I had our first official 5K practice. We did not break any records or anything. But we did have some exhausting fun. We got a late start so it was pretty warm out. All in all I think we did pretty good for our first try. Here are our before photos:

Me Running?

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a runner, nor am I even a fast walker. Matter of fact when I was in school and we had PE class I would not dress out on purpose just so I would not have to run. However, my sister, Karen challenged me and Kelly (my other sister) to see if we could train and run in a 5k race. We have talked about it for months and I think tried to forget we were going to try it. (or at least I did!) Finally we have officially signed up to run in the Candlelight Run in Greenville, SC. I think it is possible that I have lost my mind and I am not thinking straight, I will keep you updated on that! I started real training last night which did not go well at all, I had some stroller issues. (just for the record running with an umbrella stroller will make your legs cramp) I ended up mostly trying to fast walk. I will keep everyone updated on how my training is going or not going. I think all in all it will be fun and of course I must add in exercise is always good for you. Also I am going to be working on Team Sister T-shirts for the race! Got to go Run!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
Well I would start out by telling you how old she was going to be today, however I would like to live to celebrate her Birthday with her. So I will just let you guess! I know that most everyone thinks that they have the Best Mom in the World and that is great, however I know that I do! My mom is one of the most caring and generous people that I know. She would be willing to share anything she had with someone in need even if it meant she went without. My mom sacrificed and went without to make sure we had what we needed or even wanted. I know that I could call my mom anytime, about anything, and she would help me out. My mom also provided a Godly example of what a wife and mother should be. Wish I could say I have done a good job of following her lead. She is also a very strong Christian and practices what she believes.
Thanks for All You do for Us!
Happy Birthday, MOM!
I Love You!

Working From Home!

Working From Home!
I really enjoy my job and being able to work from home. It gives me the opportunity to stay at home with Rhett and be home when Shelby gets in from school. However there is something about me getting a phone call from work that seems to set my 3 year old into mess making mode. Yesterday I was on a call with my boss, Bill, discussing the new changes in Billing, when Rhett walked in the room with a tube of mascara in hand...........
